Amapiano rising star Zee Nxumalo (22) appears front and center on Romania’s “Dance toată ziua” (Dance All Day), a high-rotation editorial playlist known for spotlighting high-energy global hits. Her latest single, “In & Out” — a collaboration with Romanian pop star Raluka and millforlife — leads the playlist and is tagged as a Spotify New Release, with over 14,800 playlist saves and growing.
This marks Zee’s first official music placement in Romania and her broader Eastern European debut. It also arrives at a pivotal time in her global journey. Zee recently hosted the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Pre-Show, becoming the first South African music artist to do so, just weeks after her amapiano remix of the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song went viral across platforms. “This run has been a dream,” says Zee Nxumalo. “Being on a Spotify cover in Romania, hosting the KCAs, collaborating with Raluka, these are all moments I’ve prayed for. I’m just a girl from Alex making music that moves people, and now I get to take that energy around the world.”
Her upcoming performance schedule includes a major set at Afronation in Portugal and an appearance at Ama Fest in the UK. Zee is also set to travel to Romania for the first time, marking a full-circle moment for her entry into the region. “We’ve been intentional about expanding Zee’s global footprint in a way that feels fresh but authentic,” says Shingai Darangwa, co-manager of Zee Nxumalo. “The Spotify Romania cover, the Nickelodeon hosting slot, and now international stages, it all points to an artist who’s becoming a global cultural voice.” Zee Nxumalo is fast becoming one of Amapiano’s most magnetic global ambassadors: bringing African rhythm, storytelling, and style to every stage, playlist, and moment she touches
